Gen Alpha visiting his grandma is left completely confused after mom tells him to hit the side of the old TV to fix it, hilarity ensue: 'My baby has no idea!'

Sharing nostalgic technology as a parent with your kid is quiet the experience. In this case, it was a millennial mother showing her Gen Alpha son what to do when a TV from the 1990s start acting up… You smack it.

This all makes sense to millennials and older, even some older Gen Z will understand. But Gen Alpha is completely flabbergasted. To us, it sounds perfectly normal to hit a piece of technology when it's not working. There are so many wires and intricate parts in there that can get messed up with even one flake of dust. So, if ya give it a little shake or smack on the side, it can move that dust and wiring around and make it work again.

This might be obsolete in technology now, but back in the day, it made everyone their own handyman. But, yeah, sure, we can see how someone who has never encountered this kind of ancient technology before be a little taken aback when we smack it around. This little boy in particular did not believe his instructions at first.

"You have to smack the tv!" his mother tells him. After the first smack, the picture starts to become a little clearer, and the mind of this Gen Alpha more scrambled. "A little harder," his grandma instructs. So the smacks it harder several more times, and as the picture starts to clear up, the face of this little boy is in complete disbelief.

Between the laughter and hilarity, sure, we all start to feel a little old, but c'est la vie. At least we get to age with laughter! And what's better than that? Especially laughter shared with your growing loved ones. One day, Gen Alpha will have some sort of technology they grew up with that will be obsolete. Maybe there will be a different kind of smartphone that makes the current ones seem idiotic. Or a car that flies! Who knows? All we know, is that even though we are all aging, we can look forward to the wholesome laughter that comes with sharing our old technologies with a new generation.
